The perfect gift for the sports lover

Described as “enchanting” by Classic FM, tracks from the CD have since been played on BBC Radios 2 and 3, Classic FM and Talk Sport. In his review of the CD in The Times, Robert Hands wrote “…the infectious joy of the melodies and the jolly (in every sense) lyrics give the lie to the notion that the Victorians never knew how to have fun”.

A 31-page illustrated booklet accompanies the CD with a short article on the history of sport, a background note on each song, pen-pictures of the composers and lyricists and the full text of each song.
